Property Owners and Managers

More than 6,000 rental property owners/managers in the City of San Diego participate in the Rental Assistance Program because they know it eases many of their rental problems.The San Diego Housing Commission (SDHC) prizes its relationships with local owners and rental property managers and specializes in quick responses and ready support.

Property owners who participate in the voucher program enjoy the security and convenience of reliable direct-deposit rental subsidy payments from SDHC. If a tenant loses his or her job, or other income, SDHC increases its rental subsidy to make up for the loss. Participating landlords can manage their apartments, and screen and select their tenants, as they see fit.
